Comparing Permanent Lighting Brands in DFW: Trimlight, Jellyfish, Everlights, and Surplife

Permanent lighting in DFW has gone from one or two installers in 2019 to a dozen brands today. Here's the honest, spec-by-spec comparison of the four we get asked about most: Trimlight, Jellyfish Lighting, Everlights, and Surplife (the system we install).

Bulb tech. All four use RGBW LEDs (red, green, blue, dedicated warm white). Trimlight runs 0.6W bulbs at 5-inch spacing, Jellyfish runs 0.8W at 4-inch spacing, Everlights runs 0.7W at 4-inch spacing, Surplife runs 0.7W at 4-inch spacing. Warranty. Trimlight: 5-year product. Jellyfish: 5-year product, 1-year labor. Everlights: 7-year product, 2-year labor. Surplife: 8-year product, 3-year labor, lifetime bulb replacement. Longest warranty in DFW.
