What to Ask Before Buying Permanent Holiday Lighting
August 28, 2025·5 min read

Permanent lighting is a real investment. Don't sign with anyone until you've asked these ten questions.
1. Is the LED rated for 10+ years and warrantied?
2. Are the tracks color-matched to my fascia?
3. Are the bulbs RGBW (full color + dedicated warm white)?
4. Is the controller cloud-based with app, scheduling, and scenes?
5. Will my install be done by your in-house crew or subcontractors?
6. What's the install warranty (and how is service handled)?
7. Will the install be hidden during the day?
8. Can I expand later (landscape lighting, accent zones)?
9. How do you handle HOA approvals if needed?
10. Can I see local installs and references in my neighborhood?
If a company can't answer all ten clearly, keep looking.

Look for at least an 8-year product warranty on the bulbs and a 3-year labor warranty — that is what we offer on every install across DFW.
