How Long Does Permanent Holiday Lighting Take to Install in DFW?

The most common question after 'how much does it cost' is 'when will it be done.' Here's the realistic timeline DFW homeowners should plan around.

Step 1 — Free design visit (week 1). A designer measures your roofline, walks the property, discusses scenes and zones, and emails a quote within 48 hours.

Step 2 — Approval and scheduling (week 1-2). Once the quote is signed, we schedule install. In peak season (September–November), expect 2-4 weeks lead time. Off-season installs can often happen within 5-7 days.

Step 3 — HOA submission if needed (adds 2-4 weeks). If your community requires architectural review, we prepare and submit the packet on your behalf. Submit early — boards meet less often in late fall.

Step 4 — Install day (1-2 days on-site). Most homes complete in a single day. Two-story estates with accent zones may take two days. Crews arrive at 8 AM, channels are mounted, wiring is concealed, and the controller is mounted and configured.

Step 5 — Programming and walkthrough (same day). Before we leave, we configure your scenes, demo the app, and walk you through every default holiday color set.

If you want lights running for Thanksgiving, book by mid-October. For Christmas, our final install slots fill by early November.
