How to Maintain Permanent Holiday Lighting (And When to Call for Service)

Permanent holiday lighting is engineered to be invisible and forgotten — that's the point. But there are three small habits that keep your system running flawlessly for the full 10+ year LED life.

1. Wipe the channel twice a year. Spring and fall, walk the perimeter and wipe the front face of the channel with a damp microfiber cloth. Pollen, dust, and bird debris dim the apparent brightness over time.

2. Reboot the controller after firmware updates. The cloud controller updates itself overnight every few months. If a scene ever stutters, unplug the controller for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

3. Check the GFCI after big storms. North Texas storms occasionally trip outdoor GFCI outlets. If the lights don't respond, the outlet is the first thing to check.

What you don't have to worry about: changing bulbs. Every fixture is a sealed RGBW LED rated for 10+ years of nightly use. If a single bulb ever fails, we replace the section under our lifetime install warranty.

When to call for service: water intrusion in the controller box, a section of channel that goes completely dark, or any physical damage from a contractor or storm. We respond within 48 hours for warranty service across the DFW metroplex.
